Champ Camp

Champ Camp is an inclusive day camp for children with and without special needs who are post-Kindergarten age. Held at the agency's Highland Hills and Westlake locations, Champ Camp features a variety of daily activities, including music, arts & crafts, and nature study. Campers also enjoy special guest performers throughout the summer.

Champ Camp is offered in one-week sessions Monday through Friday from mid-June through mid-August. The camp day runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended care available from 7:30-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. Campers can register for multiple sessions.

Cheerful Day Camp

Children ages 5 and older with and without special needs can enjoy all that Camp Cheerful has to offer in a day camp setting. Cheerful Day Camp includes all the activities of the traditional camp sessions, including swimming, horseback riding, nature study, sports, canoeing and much more.

Cheerful Day Camp is offered in one-week sessions Monday-Friday from mid-June through mid-August. The camp day runs from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., with extended care available from 7:30-9 a.m. and/or 4:30-6 p.m. Campers can register for multiple sessions.

SENSATIONal Day Camp

SENSATIONal Day Camp at Camp Cheerful is a day program designed for school-aged children (post-Kindergarten) who are diagnosed with autism, PDD, PDD-NOS and Asperger's Disorder.

The Monday - Friday program will be supervised by a certified special education teacher. Specially trained staff will facilitate activities to fit campers' individual needs while receiving additional support and consultation from an occupational therapist, speech therapist and social worker.

Each week, the occupational therapist, speech therapist, teacher and staff design activities to further the goals of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including class time in our Therapeutic Horsemanship program.
