Autism Therapy & Recreation Programs at the Achievement Centers

The Achievement Centers for Children offers a variety of programs to address the therapeutic and recreational needs of children on the Autism spectrum.

Therapy Services
Experienced Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists provide service on an outpatient basis. All of our therapists have experience and an expertise with children with autism. Therapists work with families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals using research-based treatment methods to design in-home activities to maximize progress.

Therapeutic Riding
Children and adults ages four and older with autism enjoy this riding program tailored to their strengths and needs at Camp Cheerful.  Camp Cheerful is certified as a Premier Accredited Program by The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.). All of Camp Cheerful's therapeutic horseback riding instructors are certified and registered by PATH.

Adapted Aquatics
Adapted Aquatics serves children with autism and teaches them independent swimming and water safety.  Each child receives individualized progressive instruction that makes learning achievable and fun. The ultimate goal is to build the child’s swim and group social skills so they can progress into an aquatics program in their community .
