The Achievement Centers for Children, with support from the Cleveland Browns and The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities are offering Adapted Football.  The league begins its second season in May of 2012.  Currently, the league consists of three divisions and players will compete against individuals of their same skill level. We are looking to expand divisions and locations in the future.

 

LOCATIONS:

SOUTH - Cuyahoga Falls (Division I Only) - CANCELLED

EAST - Bedford (Division I Only)

WEST - Strongsville/Middleburg Hts. (Division I, II, III)

   

Division I - is for participants with cognitive/developmental delays and is played on a grass field without the use of any assistive equipment. Download 2012 D1 schedule.

Division II - is a manual wheelchair league, played on a hardtop surface, for participants with physical limitations.Download 2012 D2 schedule.

Division III - is a power wheelchair league for participants with physical limitations and cognitive/developmental delays, played on a hardtop surface.Download 2012 D3 schedule.

* Practices and games are held Saturdays starting in mid-May and run through mid-July. Click on the printable schedule next to the division for times and locations.  

 

Eligibility & Registration
The Adapted Football League is open to anyone 7 years or older with a disability. There is a $75 player registration fee which includes a game jersey and awards.Teams will be organized to play on the South, East and West sides of town. Rules are established for each division. Volunteers

 We need you! Volunteer opportunities currently exist for coaches, referees, game day operations and more.  All volunteers will attend an informational training session prior to beginning the 2012 season.  Please consider joining us.
